Prague – the capital of the Czech Republic, located near the Weltawa River is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe with plenty of tourists visiting this place eagerly. In 1992, the city was entered into the list of the World Heritage of UNESCO. The prevailing styles in Prague are gothic and baroque. The Capital of the Czech Republic is often called „the Golden Prague”, „the Heart of Europe” or „The City of Thousands of Towers”. The architecture, monuments, gardens, and also the atmosphere of secretiveness, romanticism and elegance attracts tourists from all over the world.
Prague offers tourists many attractions, spending time actively but also a peaceful rest. We encourage you to visit „Hradczan”, where there is, among others, the castle – the former seat of the Czech Kings, the St Vitus Cathedral and St George Basilica. The Cathedral had been built for 600 years. From the outside you can admire the stained glass of the World Creation and the Golden Gate showing the Final Judgement. Inside, it is worth to take a look at the St Vaclav Chapel, the St Vaclaw Statua and the St Jan Nepomucen Tomb.
Near the cathedra there is a famous „Golden Street”, at which, among others, goldsmiths and castle service lived. „The Golden Street” is a complex of picturesque houses in row development.
Another place worth visiting is the „Mala Strana” District. It has the characteristic twisting, narrow, stone streets, baroque churches and beautiful gardens. You should also visit the Old Town Square where on the gothic Town Hall tower has a famous „Orloj” clock. On the Square you can admire churches, beautiful chapels and the oldest building of the Carol University. Exploration of Prague will be more pleasant if you take a walk through the Carol Bridge.
And if you want to admire the beautiful panorama of Prague the route of the itinerary must have the Petrin Hill – the green centre of Prague. You can reach the top on foot or use the railway.
These are only some of the objects and places you should visit. Apart from the architectural monuments, you should visit Prague because of multiple festivals, concerts, exhibitions and theatre events.
When coming to the Golden Prague, everyone will find something for him/her.
